1. BOOSTER MEETING REMINDER:  a reminder that our next booster meeting is TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 3, at 7:00 pm in the Orchestra Hall.  We will be discussing the Spring Banquet and Colonial.  We hope to see you there!!!
2. BANQUET RESERVATIONS:  the Spring Banquet is quickly approaching!!!  May 14 in the AHS Cafeteria.  Come help us celebrate the year, with student awards, announcement of next year’s officers, and the end-of-the-year slide show!  Reservation forms (distributed in class and available on Charms) and money ($15 per person) due THIS FRIDAY, May 6.
3. PICTURES NEEDED:  the Historians need your help!!!  They want your pictures from any and all AHS Orchestra events for the 2015-2016 school year.  In addition, they need senior pictures and senior baby pictures.  If you don’t send them your pictures, they can’t put you in the slide show!  Send your pictures to ahsorchhistorians2016@gmail.com by THIS WEEKEND!!!
4. SPRING CONCERTS:  our Spring Concerts are quickly approaching!!!  All groups except Symphony will be Tuesday, May 10.  Symphony is on Wednesday, May 11.  Both concerts begin at 7:00 pm in the AHS Auditorium.  Student call times are being given to students in class.  ALL students MUST bring a change of clothes with them, as after the concert, ALL students will change and leave ALL parts of their uniform.  Complete information will be given to students in class.

1. BOOSTER MEETING RESCHEDULED:  due to predicted inclement weather, the booster meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been rescheduled to next Tuesday, May 3, at 7:00 pm in the AHS Orchestra Hall.  Our main agenda items will be planning for the Spring Banquet and Colonial.  We hope to see you there!!!
2. OFFICER APPLICATIONS DUE:  officer applications are due THIS Friday!!!  If you are choosing to do a poster and campaign video, those are also due Friday.  Please see the application packet for complete details.
3. ROCKESTRA REMINDER:  a reminder that Rockestra is TODAY, 3-4 pm!!!  Hope to see you there!
4. SPRING CONCERTS:  a reminder that our Spring Concerts are quickly approaching!  The concert for all groups other than Symphony is Tuesday, May 10, at 7:00 pm.  The Symphony concert is Wednesday, May 11, at 7:00 pm.  Details regarding student call time, etc, will be announced in class and will be included in a future update email.

AHS Orchestra update – 03.21.16

1. BOOSTER MEETING CANCELED:  the booster meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 22, has been canceled, as some of our booster board is out of town.  The next scheduled booster meeting will be April 26.  Please save items for the upcoming parking lot sale, and watch for more information regarding parking lot sale and Colonial soon!
2. SOLO & ENSEMBLE ENTRIES DUE:  entries for our cluster Solo & Ensemble are due Thursday!  We highly encourage any interested student to participate, especially with a small ensemble.  Information and entry forms may be found on Charms, and students should ask a director if they have any questions.
3. TISSUES:  we are out of tissues in the Orchestra Hall!  If you would be able to donate some boxes of tissues, sniffly noses would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you!!!
4. SYMPHONY AM REHEARSALS:  Symphony will not have 7 am rehearsals until further notice.  Students will be notified in class of when 7 am rehearsals will resume.
5. SYMPHONY SENIOR SOLO APPLICATIONS DUE:  applications for any Symphony student interested in auditioning for Senior Solos are due tomorrow, Tuesday, March 22.  Information and applications can be found on Charms.
