Our VERTICAL RAISE fundraiser ends on WED, NOV 22. WE ARE ONLY $2,000 away from our goal. Please help us finish strong.

2. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! 

On behalf of Mrs. Bolding and Mrs. Wilcox, I would like to wish you and your families much rest, safe travels, abundant meals, and an especially Happy Thanksgiving break!

3. BOOSTER CLUB MEETING – TUES, NOV 28

Our next Booster Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 28 at 7:00 pm in the Orchestra Room. This is such an important organization for our orchestra program. When everyone pitches in things go so much faster! Please park in the lot by the baseball fields and come in the back door. Note if there is a baseball game, park on the black top or far enough from the field to avoid pop fly balls. 

4. OFFICER MEETING – WED, NOV 29,  2ND LUNCH

We will have our first officer meeting of the year on Monday, Aug 28 at 2nd Lunch. Grab your lunch then head to the orchestra room. See one of the directors if you need a pass. 

5. HOLIDAY BASH – FRI, DEC 1

Our annual Holiday Bash is Friday, Dec 1 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm in the AHS MAC. We will have an enormous inflatable obstacle course, bungee run, and basketball. Bring your football, baseball and glove, volleyball, soccerball, and start a game with friends. We will have a pinata full of candy as well. The fun will end in a Gingerbread making contest where the winners will receive a Dutch Bros gift card! 

The Booster Club will be serving BBQ brisket sandwiches and smoked sausage. Everyone helps by bringing a side or dessert. MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP TO BRING SOMETHING. 

STUDENTS SIGN UP to bring something here. You can also find the QR code on the signs around the orchestra room. 

PARENTS – The Booster Club needs a few donations and volunteers to help at the event. Please consider donating/ helping! This is one of our biggest and most exciting events!   Please sign up here.

The next Spring Trip payment of $350 is due MON, DECEMBER 4. If students do not have orchestra that day, please have them bring their contract and payment to the orchestra room before or after school, or at lunch.

1. CONCERT ATTIRE ADJUSTMENTS

If you wish to hem/alter the length of dresses/pants, please DO NOT CUT OFF ANY FABRIC. Use a hem stitch that can be removed easily, hem tape, and or safety pins, Any removal of fabric will result in a fine for that garment’s full price. 

2.  FALL CONCERT INFORMATION

Our concert is this week. We are excited to show you how much we have done in the past several months! 

Students need to be at the CVPA, dressed, and tuning by the CALL TIME listed below. 

Students not on stage for warm-up by the time specified below will lose 30% of their concert grade. Traffic is always an issue at this time of day as well as crossing the train tracks.Please plan accordingly.

3. REGION ORCHESTRA AUDITIONS – SAT, OCT 21

Region Orchestra Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 21 at Seguin High School. Students will be notified if they are in the first/early or second/late audition groups as soon as they announce it. Contact Dr. Chapman with any questions. 

4. MASQUERADE – SAT, OCT 21 – 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

The Spring Trip Contract and non-refundable deposit of $350 is due. THIS IS A HARD DEADLINE! If students do not have orchestra that day, please have them bring their contract and payment to the orchestra room before or after school, or at lunch.

3. OFFICER/SENIOR PICTURES – THUR, SEP 28

Officer/Senior Pictures will be Thursday, September 28 during 1st period. Boys wear your concert tux and girls wear nice dresses. No jeans or tennis shoes. Students should arrive dressed at 7:30 am in the orchestra room with a regular change of clothes. We will take pictures after the hallways clear, then return to the orchestra room to change into regular school clothes. 

4. HOWDY PARTY – FRI, SEP 30

Our first social event of the year is the Howdy Party on Friday, September 30 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Randol Mill Park. We will have lots of different games and activities, music, etc. Come out for a great time! The Booster Club will provide sandwiches and Kona Ice Snow Cones.

Juniors: Fruit (wear black)

Seniors: Chips (wear white)
