1. ALLIANCE AIR SHOW:  thank you so much for the fantastic response to calls for volunteers!!!  Saturday is covered, and we could still use a few additional volunteers for Sunday.  If you have been waiting to sign up, the link is below.  If you have signed up, you will receive a separate email with details and instructions in the next day or two.
To sign up to help SUNDAY, go to www.SignUpGenius.com/go/30E0D49AAA82CA1FB6-ahsorchestra2.  Email Mr. Torres at ftorres@aisd.net with any questions.
2. BOOSTER MEETING:  our monthly booster meeting is TONIGHT, Tuesday, October 24, at 7pm in the AHS Orchestra Hall.  Our main agenda item will be the upcoming Turkey Bash.  Please enter through the Orchestra outside doors, and we hope to see you there!
3. MASQUERADE:  our next social event is FRIDAY, 5-7p in the Orchestra Hall!!!  Our officers have planned a great event with a haunted maze, pumpkin decorating contest, escape room, costume contest, and more!  Come enjoy food, games, and fun with your orchestra family!  Guys bring drinks, and girls bring snack items (chips, cookies, etc).  Students must wear either their current orchestra shirt or may wear a school appropriate costume.
4. PRACTICE:  we have already been hard at work on our Winter Concert cycle, and a focus with students is continuing to develop great practice habits.  Parents should see practice at home at least every other day, and hopefully more than that.  Even 20-30 minutes of quality practice 5-6 days per week will help students make the most progress possible, and will help each group level up.  We appreciate parent support in encouraging the students to practice at home!
Please let us know if you have any questions, and thank you for your continued support of the AHS Orchestra!
